Online software is only as good as the way it is run. G-ordon Constellation is the tool our teams use to monitor every G-ordon platform and the servers that host them, in one place and continuously.
Graded alerts
Not all alerts are equal. Constellation ranks them so the team deals with what matters first:
- Critical: a server has not responded for two minutes.
- To check: a processor saturated over a sustained period, a disk more than 90% full. The machine still works, and now is the time to act.
- Information: the situation is back to normal.
A full disk stops everything, often without a clear message. Flagging it beforehand avoids the outage.
Anticipate rather than react
The peak-hours map shows when each platform is under the most demand: maintenance is scheduled outside those times, and load increases can be seen coming.
A chained audit log
Every sensitive action performed on a platform is sealed to the previous one in an audit log. Removing or changing an entry afterwards would break the chain: the change would show up on verification.
